Sijil is a private personal money ledger. Your financial records stay under your control, and the app does not automatically collect them or send them to us.
Who operates Sijil
Sijil is developed by Ibrahim Alnashwan. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app, its optional backup features, its legal pages, or contact support.
Your records are stored on your iPhone
Trackers, entries, amounts, notes, settings, and revision history are stored locally in Sijil’s private app storage on your iPhone. Sijil has no account, sign-up, advertising, analytics, telemetry, or tracking system. We cannot view or access your records.
If you back up your iPhone with iCloud Backup or to a computer, iOS includes Sijil’s data in that device backup, as it does for most apps. Sijil does not control or receive those backups.
Apart from the device backups described above and the optional iCloud Drive backup below, your records leave Sijil only when you choose to send them: when you save a backup copy, export a spreadsheet, or print a report, iOS hands the output to the destination you select. Sijil does not receive a copy.
Optional iCloud Drive backup
If you turn on automatic backup, Sijil writes backup files to the Backups folder under Sijil in your own iCloud Drive: dated snapshots of your records and a separate settings file. Sijil does not encrypt these files, so anyone who can open your iCloud Drive can read them. Apple operates iCloud and stores them under your Apple Account, subject to Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.
We do not receive or have access to your iCloud Drive. Automatic backup is off by default. Turning it off stops new backups but does not delete files already written; you can manage or delete them in Apple’s Files app. While it is on, Sijil keeps only the number of snapshots you choose and removes older ones.
Local notifications
If you turn on backup reminders, Sijil schedules them on your iPhone and iOS shows them there. Sijil has no server. A reminder says only that backups have not run recently; it never contains amounts, tracker names, or other figures. Reminders are optional and off by default.
Legal pages and website access
When you open Privacy Policy or Terms of Use from Settings, Sijil opens the selected fixed HTTPS page inside the app. The in-app view does not retain cookies, cache, or browsing history on your iPhone, stays on that page’s website, and opens links to other sites in your default browser. The app adds no query string and sends no tracker, entry, amount, note, or other ledger data with the request.
This privacy page is delivered from privacy.ibrhoom.com through Cloudflare. Like other web hosts, Cloudflare may process routine connection information such as an IP address and browser or device headers to deliver and protect the page. This page contains no advertising, analytics, tracking scripts, external fonts, or cookies set by us. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for its practices.
The Terms of Use page is hosted by Apple. Access to that page is subject to Apple’s privacy practices.
Contacting support
Sijil never sends a support message automatically. If you choose Contact by Email, the app opens a draft in your default mail app. Before you send it, you can review, edit, or cancel it.
The prepared draft contains only the device family, iOS version, Sijil version and build, and the time the draft was prepared. It never includes trackers, entries, amounts, notes, backups, device identifiers, or diagnostic logs. Your mail provider sends the message only after you choose to send it, and the message will also include the sender address and any content you add.
Support messages are used only to respond to the request. Support is offered voluntarily, on a best-effort basis; a reply within any particular time is not guaranteed.
Contact via X
If you choose Contact via X, Sijil opens your default browser or the X app at @akaibrhoom. Any interaction there is governed by X’s own terms and privacy practices.
Children’s privacy
Sijil is not directed specifically to children. The app does not automatically collect personal information from users of any age.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
